Eid Al-Adha 2025

In April 2025, the Senior Women’s and Men’s Madih groups performed at the Point Cook shopping precinct as part of the Eid Festival celebrations. The event provided a unique opportunity to showcase Madih in a setting that differed significantly from the traditional environments in which it is usually performed. Both the Senior Girls' and Senior Men's Madih groups participated in the event, sharing their talents with a diverse audience from across the broader community.

The performance allowed the groups to step outside their usual surroundings and engage with members of the public who may not have previously been exposed to Madih and its rich cultural and religious significance. It was an opportunity not only to perform, but also to represent and celebrate an important aspect of the community's heritage.

Alhamdulillah, the event was a success and served as a valuable platform to showcase the talent, effort, and dedication that takes place behind the scenes within the Madih groups. The positive response from attendees reflected the hard work invested by participants throughout their training and preparation. The event also demonstrated that, within the wider Muslim community, there is always a place and an audience for Madih and the praise of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It reinforced the importance of preserving these traditions and sharing them with future generations and the broader community.
